iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 public beta released: Come and experience the new features!
Starting today, Apple is allowing members of its public beta program to download and install iOS 26 and iPadOS 26. You can register for public beta status on Apple's Beta website. The first public beta version is identical to the fourth developer beta version released earlier this week, but it also provides developers with a new fourth beta version.
iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 adopt the Liquid Glass design, which emphasizes transparency in its visual aesthetics. Elements such as icons, menu buttons, and navigation bars reflect and refract light through subtle animations. Some areas pop up menus, tab bars shrink, and all elements appear more rounded.
Apple has introduced several new features, such as Visual Intelligence for screenshots, updated order tracking in the Wallet app, new features in Reminders, and real-time translation in Messages, Phone, and FaceTime. Image Playground now offers ChatGPT-style options, and Genmoji supports mixing two or more emojis to create new ones.
The Spatial Scenes feature enables 2D photos to display more realistic 3D effects, and the Safari browser has also been updated with new navigation features. The Phone app now includes “Call Screening” and “Call Assist” features to save you time; the Messages app supports custom backgrounds and polling features. Apple Music now offers DJ-style automatic mixing, CarPlay has a new interface, and the new Apple Games app has been launched, with preview functionality making its debut on iPhone.
