Rumors suggest Samsung S26 Ultra screen size will be upgraded again with narrower bezels
Following previous years' tradition, Samsung is expected to launch its new Galaxy S series at the beginning of next year. Recent reports suggest that after increasing the screen size of the Samsung S25 Ultra to 6.86 inches, Samsung plans to push the boundaries of screen size once again with the next-generation flagship model, the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
According to reports, the screen size of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will increase slightly to 6.89 inches, but the overall dimensions of the device will remain unchanged. This means that Samsung will achieve the screen size upgrade by further narrowing the screen bezels. Based on calculations, the thickness of the screen bezels on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may be reduced to between 1.15 and 1.2 millimeters, further improving the screen-to-body ratio and delivering a more immersive visual experience.
Currently, there are already flagship models in the industry with screen bezels around 1.2 millimeters, such as the previously released OPPO Find X8s, which has a bezel width as narrow as 1.25 millimeters. Therefore, the likelihood of Samsung adopting even narrower bezels is very high.
In addition, rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's main camera will continue to use a 200-megapixel sensor and be equipped with a 50-megapixel 5x optical zoom telephoto lens. Although the body may become thinner, the battery capacity is expected to remain the same as its predecessor, at 5000mAh.
